His full name is Cronic the Wedgehog, but just Wedgehog is fine. He is, as blatantly obvious as it sounds, a hedgehog made out of various wedges. Below is the video that birthed him.

Anyways. Cronic the Wedgehog is, unlike Sonic the Hedgehog, is actually more in-line with a true hedgehog, rather than an anthropomorphic one. He's short, quite short in fact, but his height of about 3 of your shoes stacked together doesnt stop him from absolutely beating ass. He could probably throw you across a court. His arms and legs being able to extend (not very far, but far enough to have normal arms and legs) helps, too. In relation to Sonic's presonality, Wedgehog is at both ends of the spectrum at the same time. Sometimes he's too laidback for his own good, but other times he's an absolute prick to be around. He is not related to Sonic whatsoever, completely seperate beings in the family tree.
He cannot go super in of itself, but single chaos emeralds by themselves can get him to do a fraction of a super form's abilities (some make him faster, slightly more invincibile, the white one just changes his fur color to yellow [he likes that the most], etc.) He isn't as fast as Sonic, he's more at a Knuckles' pace, but he makes up for that in aerodynamics. He can splice through the air if he's jumping, he cannot spin-jump but he can crash into pretty much anything anyways. Despite his shortness, he is extremely dense and as such extremely heavy, although this may be a downside more than an upside due to him sinking like a rock in water. Somehow his aerodynamics stops him from immediately falling down in-air. plane type shit
Wedgehog used to be a completely normal run of the mill wedge hedgehog. until The Incident. he was minding his own business when he got blued on. heartbreaking ik woe is him. being blued on made him realize that thats the most important/shocking thing thats evre happened to him in his life up until then, and that made him sad. as such he decided to prove he wasnt just a sad being by being cool and fast as hell. he put on his red shoes and gloves and sped out the door to . uhh idk . probably just ruin some dudes day like his version of eggman isnt evil he just so happens to be in an area close to him and he builds eerily crushible robots.
